Do you have a burst geyser at your property? Here are the indications your geyser may have problems
Running out of Warm Water
This is the most usual issue of a geyser. Most water heaters are 150L-- 200L in size which is a lot of hot water but over time mineral deposits build-up around the heating element, less and less heat reaches the water and the warm water supply declines.
It can also result in leakage and the only solution to this problem is heating element replacement.

Noisy Geyser
The second most usual warning of a failing Geyser is popping or banging sounds. This trouble appears when mineral deposits in the tank. These deposits insulate the water from heating and the water heater starts to overheat thus causing noises. This constant overheating of the tank causes metal fatigue and the tank at some point fails and starts to leak.

Cloudy or Warm water that smells
If there's cloudy and smelly water, it is also a sign of a broken geyser.

Rusting and Leaking geyser or valves and fittings
Rusting occurs due to the steel your geyser is built of. An anode rod prevents the corrosion and due to natural causes, the geyser will at some point be corroded. These corrosive forces will attach to the tank and its connections leading to the tank to leak or burst.

Defective Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve (TP Valve).
The temperature and pressure relief valve is present in the geyser whereas a safety relief valve will help to release the pressure. If this valve becomes faulty or is capped off, the tank can blow up with the force of a small explosive! In case of any fault or failure in any of these three valves, reach out to a professional immediately.

Leaking water from your Geyser.
Make sure to pinpoint and correct a leaking geyser right away before it causes significant damage to your property. A geyser that is leaking can be the cause of a flood-like situation in your home.
